At Abbey, we create our glazed extensions from both aluminium and uPVC. The customer wanted a combination of an aluminium extension with a bifold door for an expansive living space. The bifold doors fold out like a concertina, giving plenty of fresh air. 

Supplied by Origin, these customers were confident that their bifold doors were built to last for many years. The doors folded outwards so they could bring their food outside with ease. And, the double glazing helped the family keep an eye on their little ones in the garden. 

The customer chose a Jet Black extension which contrasted with their white walls. This was designed to turn heads and add an element of style to their property. 

The customer decided on fitting the bifold doors with internal blinds, giving them more control over the light and privacy. The glazing designs were low maintenance and easy to clean, which was in line with the family’s busy lifestyle. 

 

High Performance Products 

Our glazed installations are manufactured by Ultraframe, which specialises in thermal efficiency and comfort. The family chose a Performance roof with an internal pelmet, which ensured the room was five times warmer than a standard conservatory. This helped them out during winter and saved them a chunk of their energy bills. 

Their bifold door was boosted with Performance Glazing, which was fitted tightly into the frame to stop heat from escaping. This gave them extra security in their home as, combined with multi point locking systems, intruders weren’t able to enter. 

Enhanced Aesthetics 

The customer wanted extra privacy in their extension, so they went for an obscure glazing pattern. What’s more, the built in multipoint locking systems on the bifold door can only be opened from the inside, so intruders would be kept out.  What’s more, we installed finger safety gaskets on the doors to stop their children’s fingers from being trapped in. 

The extra customisation options worked wonders for this customer as they felt confident their children would be safe.
